OUR NAME
We wanted a brand name that would resonate with radiance, brightness and luminosity. That's how the name Moanibay was created. It comes from Moani (hawaiian), meaning a gentle fragranced breeze, and bay, typically a calm and secluded place. Put together, these two words render this idea of paradise on earth where the sun gives your skin this luminous glow, which is exactly how we want you to feel when wearing our creations: we want you to glow.
OUR STORY
Moanibay is a small business born from a passion for gold jewellery. It all started with one goal in mind, to make you look expensive without hurting your wallet.
We all love gold jewellery but not everyone can afford it, which is why we wanted to create pieces that would mimic real gold at an affordable price. We therefore chose a gold plating similar to pure gold which has a yellow colour with a slight reddish undertone. As a base for the gold plating, we use stainless steel which is the perfect material to make your jewellery at a low price without compromising on quality.
OUR PRODUCTS
Our products share 3 main pillars: quality, durability and uniqueness.
Quality is very important to us, so we made sure we tested our jewellery first to provide the best quality for our customers. Through water, sunlight and everyday use, all pieces proved resilient and durable.
Durability is crucial when buying jewellery, which is why we use stainless steel for all of our creations. Indeed, stainless steel has the advantage of being tarnish-free, rust-free, erosion-resistant and sustainable.
Uniqueness is what makes us special. All of our pieces are created and assembled by us. We put our heart into our creations in order to provide you with one-of-a-kind pieces exclusive to Moanibay.
DROPSHIPPING WHO?
The market is overflown with dropshipping businesses, a practice consisting of reselling cheap products from a third party to customers at a higher price without even seeing the products.
This is NOT our business model.
Firstly, we hold inventory of our products, meaning that there is no third party involved as we ship directly from the Netherlands. Secondly, we spent the past year and a half developing our brand: from creating the pieces and engraving our logos, to testing our jewellery and insuring you get it in an eco-friendly packaging.

Because sustainability is one of the burning issues of our time, it is crucial for us to be as eco-friendly as possible. Not only is our packaging entirely made out of recycled material which can be recycled again, but our delivery carrier is also climate neutral.
